After many years as a successful alpha, Gimel found himself old, and Rafe more than capable of taking over when needed. At a time when Rafe was away, so that he wouldn't have to watch, Gimel went back to the pack's den, and laid down for one last time.
Rafe would return later to discover his father's death. gaving grown up quite a bit over the years, he was sad, but knew his father was old and coped. He let out a long sad howl to inform the rest of the pack about the death.
As the alpha's son, the pack was now his, unless someone tried to challenge him for it.
