Joining A Pack
----------------------------
Packs
Leadership
- the leadership of packs consists of the Alphas and Betas.
- Not all packs have them all, some have one alpha, or one beta, or no beta, but all have at least one alpha
- The leaders decide who can join the pack, and how to run the pack
- Alphas - The alpha pair are in command of the pack. they set the rules, lead battles, and pick any other wolves they wish to be in a position of power. The alphas word is final, in many packs.
- Betas - Second in command of the pack, they are typically hand picked by the alpha pair. in many situations, they can make executive decisions in the alphas absence. They are handpicked by the Alphas.
Titles
- titles are based on election, skill or merit. the advisors are elected by their leaders. fighters and agents get titles through arena victories. support roles are skill based.
-roles affect what your character does for the pack. the roles are as follows: fighter, agent, or healer.
-fighters and agents can gain repute, that healers have no need for.
Advisors
-advisors are hand picked by the leaders of a pack. these titles can only be gained within the RP.
- war advisor – war advisors are world-wise. they know how to handle many situations regarding other packs, and are known for their strategic minds. knowledge of the layout of the land, and how to best use it in times of conflict make war advisors an invaluable resource to the alphas of the pack. they can also judge tournaments.
- pack advisor - pack advisors help the alphas of a pack by keeping an eye on the packmates. they have a great deal of knowledge about the wolves in the pack, and can often
spot troubles before they become too big.
Fighters
- Defenders- these are novice fighters, with less than 10 wins.
- Warriors-warriors have proven their mettle in battles. they stand out from the rest of the pack and have shown their prowess. there are two ways to reach this level, defeating other fighters within your pack to increase your standings, and participating in wars. 10 victories are required to reach this status. Within the warrior ranks, you can gain standing aswell, by winning battles against other warriors.
- champions - Champions are granted this title by their leaders. Few of these titles are given, as they are reserved for the best, the strongest. It is a great honor to become a Champion, as over 100 victories are required to qualify to recieve the title.
Agents-
- scouts – new agents who have just started their career.
- Finders- a seasoned agent with 10 successful missions.
- mysteries– the greatest scouts. 100 successful missions required to qualify for the title.
Support
- healer – healers help the wounded, and can even help mothers before, during, and after birth.
-crystal wolf - crystal wolves are spiritual wolves whom pray to the Spirit Wolves. becoming one requires a pilgrimage which takes much time and patience. you cannot be a crystal wolf starting out, but obtain it in the rp.
Territories
- there are several territories that wolves can explore
- settled packs have 1-3 areas that make up their territory
- the 3 original pack regions are the whispering woods, lonely mountains, and the plains each consisting of 3 areas.
- the canyons, desert, swamp, and plateau were added later
- There are also the neutral lands, which can never be claimed by anyone, which include the battle arena.
Creating new packs
- To make a new pack, you need to have a pearl.
- Go to the store, and read the pearl privileges thread and decide what you want for your pack.
- Provide the required information in a new thread,by filling out the form provided.
- Now you wait for staff to process it and get it set up.
- When it has been processed, you will receive a message with further instructions.
- Reminder: if you want a settled pack(costs 2 pearls) if there is no unclaimed board already, you will need to provide the names of the boards and their descriptions as well.
Loners
- Definition: a loner is a wolf that chooses to join no pack, for any reason. Loners travel from territory to territory, how they are recieved varies by pack.
Classifications:
- Roamer - roamers have no set purpose, they may just be lost souls wandering the land.
- Exile - exiles are loners by no choice of their own, they have thrown out of pack society for one reason or another
- Fang for Hire - these wolves have chosen to lend their services temporarily to those who make it worth their time. Pay could be anything from a meal to pebbles. Some are willing to negotiate, others are not.

Getting Started
Creating Your Character
- First, read the Rules and the Character Guide.
- Next, think about the wolf you would like to play, what is their name? gender? personality like?
- Once you have a good idea of what you want, head over to the 'New Character' board and start a new thread.
- Fill out the form with your wolf's information, and submit it.
- Please be reasonable with your wolf. Wolves here do not have wings,or other appendages not normal for wolves, and are of normal size for their species.
- Spirit Powers are acquired via the Store Cave.
Where To Post
- There are two types of post areas; In context, and out of context.
- For posts to count toward your post count, you must post in context.
- There is one category that is out of context, the OOC section.
- All other boards are in context.
- categories with pack names after them are home to a pack, all others are unclaimed land.
- You can however, post anywhere in any of these places.
Posting Limits
- There is a 500-character post minimum. If your post is not at least 500 characters long, then you will not be able to post.
- Posts can be as long as you want them to.
- You will be warned for trying to find ways around the post limit, so don't try it.
Joining A Pack
- First, read some of the threads in each of the packs, learn about the pack members. This will help in deciding.
- If you don't want to be in a pack, then you can chose to be a loner.
- Once you have decided which pack to be in, approach the Alpha either in a new thread, or a previously started thread.
- It is up to the Alpha to decide whether to let you in or not. Once they have given their approval your in! Its that easy!

-clean out your PMs, having tons of PMs in your inbox and outbox can slow it down. - i dont know how to get pearls or pebbles
-both pearls and pebbles are gained by posting in the roleplay, and sometimes can be won in contests, etc.
