An eerie silence blanketed the land. Something the femme seemed to come across lately. The fae had been here before. Some time ago. She couldn't remember how long it had been. She was a pup in those days, but now she wasn't. She'd filled out, and was a wolf built like her mother.

Nessa sighed quietly and sat back on her haunches. A thought lingered in the back of her mind. Where is my father - does he sill rule this land? Her irises shined in the light of the early morning sun. It felt so odd coming here after so much time away. It felt strange to try and make a come back after vanishing for who knew how long. Maybe this time she'd be able to stay. One could only hope.

The red colored female closed her eyes and allowed the light breeze to comb through her thick fur. Her senses tingled, and it made her wonder if it might have been her mother lingering as a spirit, or if it was just the sensation of being home again. Not that it mattered at this point. The only thing that she held as a focus in her mind was where Fiyero may be.

Nessa shook her skull as she rose to her feet. One last glance around told her she was still alone, then she tossed back her head and let out a long, calling howl in hope of an answer.

Nessa's ears twitched as the familiar voice ran in them. A wolfish smile danced over her maw and she stood and awaited the brute who would be coming for her. To announce her position, she threw her head up and released another clear howl.

I cannot wait to see you. I cannot wait to see your face. I'm sorry I have been gone so long, Daddy. I'll not leave you anymore. Nessa smiled slightly as she thought and glanced around, looking for sign that he was close.

Nessa soon saw her father and returned his welcome with happy, puppy-like whines as she licked his chin. Her tail wagged so furiously her entire body shook with the enthusiasm of once again seeing her father.

"I'm so sorry for being gone Daddy, but I'm home now," she spoke with excitement in her tone. She rubbed against him and nipped his shoulders and ears. She had a moment to silently wish she really was a pup again so she may tug at his ears mercilessly. Nessa let her body roll to the ground before pressing her forepaws against his chest, while she gnawed on his leg playfully.

Nessa nodded in agreement with her father's first statement. She rested quietly with her eyes closed. She'd traveled some distance, and sleep was in order - right after she communicated with the parent she hadn't seen in ages.

"I'm not exactly sure. I traveled with a black fae from the ShadowPaw pack. She'd ventured off as well, and we bumped into each other. From there we explored unnamed territory. After we decided we'd been away from home far too long, we came back."

Nessa lifted her head and looked at her father. A wolfish grin appeared on her maw.
